The Digital accelerator “Innovation Ukraine” – a digital platform for comprehensive support of talents and support of innovative projects from idea to commercialization to speed up post-war recovery and competitive development of Ukraine. Created and supported by Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman.

On October 17, 2023, the project was honored in the ‘Economic Development’ category at the ‘Partnership for Sustainable Development-2023’ competition. This annual international contest, hosted by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine, recognizes outstanding projects achieved through collaborations among businesses, government entities, and civil sectors to advance Sustainable Development Goals.

Since March 2025 Innovation Ukraine became the main informational platform of WIN2EDIH project. The mission of initiative is to support Deep Tech Innovation in the development of digitalization and Ukraine’s competitiveness in the global digital space.

VISION

Focus on the development of the digitalized SMEs, startups and public administration for sustainable, secure and inclusive economic development of Ukraine.

OBJECTIVE

Strengthen and extend the existing network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), covering underrepresented regions of the Associated Countries, particularly Northern and Central Ukraine with regional centers in the city of Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv

Expected project results:

  • higher levels of readiness of target groups for digital and green transformation through the implementation of high-tech solutions;
  • a developed inclusive digital innovation ecosystem, in particular based on the Innovation Ukraine platform, capable of providing information interaction and consulting support in a single-window mode;
  • diversified cooperation with other European digital innovation hubs and integration into the European innovation space;
  • active transfer of knowledge and experience, training and advanced training in the field of digital literacy, entrepreneurship, dissemination of information about best practices and opportunities in the field of innovation;
  • higher demand and supply of high-tech solutions (in particular, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, high-performance computing, etc.) for the implementation of large-scale digital and green transformations and the creation of sustainable regional infrastructure (Kyiv city and Kyiv region, Zhytomyr region, Chernihiv region).

The Win-Win EDIH service package includes:

  • Test before invest: access to modern technologies and solutions that allow businesses to test their ideas before implementing them.
  • Digital skills development: trainings, workshops and short educational programs for entrepreneurs, civil servants and educators.
  • Financing consultations: assistance in finding grant programs and preparing to attract investments.
  • Networking: creating opportunities for interaction with Ukrainian and European partners in the innovation ecosystem.

The project is implemented by a consortium of participants, coordinated by the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman.
